The Floating World: A series about the visual and emotional state of floating, based on the industrial waterways and marine environment of the Pacific Northwest. These images are inspired by Japanese wood block and the work of the 19th century artist Yoshitoshi. I experiment here with different approaches to merging photographic reality with found and created surface. Available for purchase in my shop in The Floating World gallery. See the longer story of this work which began in a canoe trip down the Duwamish River here.

The newest prints in this gallery focus on the experience of Greenlake, a different, more pastoral vision of an inland waterway.
